Escape to the Caribbean and Support Hospitality Education

2019-01-21T07:53:38-05:00 en-US Jan 21, 2019

Book your next Caribbean vacation to support the work of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Education Foundation.

Visit the CHTA Education Foundation at the New York Times Travel Show or bid the online auction now live.

Every year, many resorts in the Caribbean donate stays to the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Education Association Foundation (CHTAEF) to support the Foundation’s work which grants scholarships to Caribbean-born students and also offers hospitality training courses on the islands.

This year’s fundraiser has now officially begun. This auction raises funds for the region’s hospitality professionals and the Foundation funds scholarships for degree-course studies and short courses as well as wider industry on-island training  since its formation in 1986. Today , the CHTA Education Foundation is the region’s largest charitable education foundation geared to the hospitality industry.

Visit the online bidding platform and take a peek at the many hotel stays available. Participants in the auction can choose from nearly 80 hotels and resorts around the region from The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Islands and the Dominican Republic to Antigua, US Virgin Islands, Saint Lucia, Barbados, Grenada and Aruba!

Stays vary from weekend getaways to luxury week- long vacations at chic island retreats and iconic luxury resorts and villas.

For more than a decade, participants of the NY Times Show have had the opportunity to bid on these vacations and it continues to be a key feature of the show for many attendees.  Participation is no longer limited to delegates of the NY Times Travel Show as vacationers seeking to escape the cold  can now bid on the auction from anywhere using the online digital platform until bidding closes at 4 pm on January 27.

Your dream vacation is available at the auction site www.bidpal.net/nytimes2019 helping to  build dreams for deserving Caribbean hospitality professionals.
